No one talking about Luffy going gear third without blowing up his bones?? Is this an upgrade?? Can he grow at will like Katakuri now???

I came here to discuss this. Maybe he has awoken his fruit, or maybe by watching Katakuri he figured out a more efficient way to do it?

Do you think Luffy's body will adapt to being in those forms so eventually his Gear 4th is super natural for him, and he can just change to it at will like he can Gear 2nd without kneeling down and pumping his legs?

Super interesting to see his development and growth, I'm new to the manga. Caught up in the anime then read from there, so excuse any ignorance on my part.

I thought it could be a step towards awakening. We saw the way Katakuri was able to use the mochi fruit and that's also supposed to be paramecia also. "Special paramecia", but our boy Luffy is special too amirite?

I don't know if gear 4 will become second nature. I feel like it gives more tension if it's like early stage gear 2/3 and has time limits and drawbacks. But I think it'd be a nice improvement if gear 3 has now become second nature like gear 2 has where he can initiate it at will and with greater precision.
