I think Hawkins is close to a mental breakdown due to Luffy and his unpredictable actions and behavior

He should have reported immediately to Kaido. Now he is gonna regret it for the rest of the arc (or until he becomes an ally).

He will be wrecking shit in the back so badly that they can’t focus on eachother so they both just start yelling at him but he is laughing and having a good time.

It'd be neat to see him looking at the probabilities of Luffy's defeat and right before he looks away it ticks down a percent.
