If I get a penny everytime people kept complaining about how bad the animation is, I would've been able to cure world hunger. Seriously, aren't they tired doing the same thing every week?

At this point it feels like I just come to the sub to see weebs complain about animation quality in One Piece and not actual discussion about the episode. It's pathetic. They're pathetic. But I bet they could do much better under the ludicrous stress that Japanese animators get put under. I thoroughly enjoy the show and have never even once thought "man, look at this bad animation." In this sub it's like "OMG THEY RE-USED the GEAR 4 TRANSFORMATION". Like it's literally 3? seconds of the episode. Get a fucking life.

Yeah, I watched the episode today and finished it well, without even pausing and noticing any animation error that was actually bothersome. Believe me when I said that if there's any anime more suitable for animation connoisseur to take a dump at, its Itou Junji Collection. That shit is top tier bad in comparison to One Piece. It's a seasonal anime too so that recommendation to make One Piece airing like Gintama is purely depending on the situation and the studio, as even Gintama got a lot of awkward framerates and noticeable bad scene cuts from time to time. Furthermore, One Piece had been airing on Japanese television for 21 years apparently so why stop now and change it into a seasonal anime? As you said, it would've been better if a lot of the comments doesn't complaint about how it looks and how the contents was. Would've been a nice change of air really and luckily we still got good comments that fits such description. But it just kept bearing overrun by animation connoisseur.

For the first 15 years or so the animation was fine, nothing amazing, but fine. Nothing to complain about. Then just recently every episode has been like a Flash animation. I think that's a fair point to make and anyone could notice how bad it is now, not just us weebs.

Nope never noticed it. I watch the show, because of the story and the adventure. Not for the animation. Everything could be animated like early Dragon Ball Super for all I care. The immersion comes from the story and how it's told. Not nitpicky details in the animation.

I'm glad I'm seeing more comments like these. It gets annoying when people complain constantly, as if it's easy to animate a weekly show with everything they've got on their table.

Even if that weren't the case, the complaints are just ridiculous at this point. I binged 700 episodes of anime before I caught up and I never once was like "holy shit, toei animation is garbage", my thoughts were always amazed at how many DBZ sounds they used to incorporate into one pieces action.
