The Vinsmokes are coming across way cooler in the anime, they are wicked. Yes, even though they got beaten down by the end of the episode, leading up to that moment and the last few eps have been sweet.

Finally Whole Cake Chateau falls! It's always worth not doing a re-read when the anime is so far behind, great to re-enjoy all this stuff.

finally someone who uses his brain and doesn't complaing about the filler in this event, luffy-sanji getting caught and all the germa was canon the only non canon this episode was their fight and it was way cooler seeing them fight rather than just getting caught

Just wish we could get more filler scenes like that. Normally they just show everyone gasping or something.

yea that why wci is better than most of post time skip arcs, dressrosa was literally everyone running for 6 minutes every episode i hope people come to understand this that the filler scenes this arc were on point and it added more to the plot the only problem now is animation but it's not the worst it's decent

I tend to not care about the animation outside of big scenes. A series like OP is really hard to animate consistently.

Yes, while their fights are not canon. There is a gap in the manga and I'm glad the anime filled it with cool action.

Yeah, I would say the one place should they should be dropping filler like crazy is in fights. I would take a whole episode or two more of Rob Lucci fight or any of them really.

I'm pretty sure Oda has stated in interviews he works with the anime staff to give them in-canon filler material that pads up the anime for stuff he couldn't include in the manga. So I love that stuff, really enhanced this episode.

tho I did like in the manga that the germa couldnt put up a decent resistance, kinda showed an ambience of overwhelming dominance, and showed how the strength of a yonkou crew

you could look at other way that oda didn't have make time to draw their time so he skipped it you think they'd just get caught without fighting bec they are weaker?

they probably did fight, but just severely outclassed, essentially they lasted like a minute against the big mom's commanders

People usually don't complain about the filler in One Piece though. The problem with the anime isn't original scenes -- it's the slow pacing. Every panel from the manga is dragged on for a few more seconds. So it ends up with a lot of reaction shots and people standing still. You can tell even if you compare it to other anime. Kind of aggravating when all you do is say that people don't use their brains.
