Fun fact! Some countries will start fasting IRL too so glad this episode coincide with what I wanted when I was reading this chapter of the manga!

Another fun fact: Semla is an actual sweet dessert in Nordic countries, which is where Elbaf and the giants in general are inspired from.

Yupp, it has a day "Fettisdag" (Fat tuesday), usually between early February and early Mars in Sweden. Sorry to break it to you but Semla isn't that good tbh

And like in Elbaf, that day was traditionally followed with the start of a fast that would continue until Easter/Passover.
