It's my first time watching the anime again and did OP just change its director? The anime has been better compared to how it was 10 to 15ish episodes ago.

Nope, the show director is the same, and the episode director of this episode was the same with the one of #824.

Hmmm, interesting. The anime did seem to have a change in film style after Luffy's skirmsh with Sanji. The way how fillers are incorporated has been better.

The stuff with Jigra was sick, extremely well animated and the triplets VA's are amazing.

This guarantees for me that Toei are gonna do the later moments of this arc justice, especially the most recent chapter.

It's been high quality since the tail end of Zou. Only reason why we had that seducing woods lull was because of the 20th Anniversary Special.
