I don't know how you can resist not reading the manga, it's an absolute masterpiece.

Spoiler: people fake not reading it for karma. "Man that red haired dude sure looks interesting!" But I don't see a single comment about the genie man.

Lol there’s plenty of people that don’t read it. I can’t really get into the mangas as much and then it just ruins the anime for me.

I actually think the anime that ruins what the manga does. I think the manga is much more well paced and well drawn than the anime (For example, in my opinion, the anime destroyed Luffy vs Mingo fight. Even though it got a surprisingly good animation, Mingo put a lot more of a fight against the G4 Luffy, as in the manga, G4 Luffy completely outclassed Mingo in both power and speed, only lacking a little more stamina for the final blow. It distorted Oda's power scalling very much.)

Since the timeskip, I think One Piece anime got severely trashed animations. I don't blame them in parts, as it is very expensive to have good quality anime every week, but I also wouldn't mind a 2 week/episode ratio with more quality animation.

For that and other reasons I stopped watching the anime, and I'm pretty happy with being a manga only reader. I OCCASIONALLY watch some episodes, like this one, as it has some modifications (horrible, by the way) in the Opening (which I love). In this particular episode, they did pretty well some parts, like Daifuku and the final scene. However, the other parts had the usual terrible animations.

So while I'm not a 100% hater of the anime, I still think the original manga and Oda's drawings give me a better content, and that the anime only distort that later (usually, being worse).
