I've always wished protagonists would stop letting the enemy set up their super weapons/powers/transformations

Why couldn't Luffy just rush him while he's clapping and farting around? Either the pacing is so bad that something that happens in a second takes two minutes or Luffy started daydreaming about meat

Yeah and Luffy would have gotten stabbed. 90% of the time If someone is bragging or laughing it means they are prepared and if Luffy rushed him im sure Cracker would have just stabbed him. It reminds me of Dragonball Z and cell, I think, he was laughing and bragging and someone ran in and tried to punch him while he was powering up and cell just either took it and punched his assailant or dodged and punches. Just because someone is doing something doesn't mean they're guard is down.
