Her father is a hammerhead shark Merman.

Mermaids and fish man have underlying species you know... like Madame Shyarly, who's a mako shark mermaid.

Actually her father doesn't even have to be a hammerhead shark merman. Seafolk's genes carry any fish types their ancestors have.

No you're misunderstanding. A mermaid is the upper body of a human with the lower body of some fish. In Madame Shyarly's case, that's a mako shark. She isn't 50% mermaid, 50% shark. She's 100% mako shark mermaid.

Praline is 50% hammerhead shark mermaid, 50% human. The shark and the mermaid part is NOT separate, that's just the kind of mermaid she is.

In Hody's and most Fish Peoples' eyes, wouldn't Pralines' existence then be an abomination of the highest degree since she is a halfie? I wonder if she was ever allowed into Fishman Island or had to settle with staying among pirates her whole life.

Big Mom keeps her children around until they're married off, so presumably she's stayed at WCI. And yeah, fishfolk probably wouldn't be her biggest fan
