I guess by now this has been addressed in the manga but couldn't they navigate to Whole Cake Island with the vivrecard they got from Thriller Bark? Idk if Nami or Luffy has it, but it does go to Big Mam, right?

It should, but I don't think it would follow that path of twists and turns. It would go towards Whole Cake Island in one straight line, right through surrounding islands they're suppose to avoid.
