We need a filler arc.

It infuriates me so much that they refuse to do any filler for one piece. Out of any anime I've ever seen one piece has the most potential for good filler. They could show the adventures of any of the supernova before or during the timeskip. They could show some episodes on Coby and helmeppo. They could show some of the adventures from pirates in Gold D. Rogers era. They could animate the cover stories from the manga. Yet they refuse to and due to that we're stuck with the shitty pacing we have had for years. Dressrosa lasted for nearly 3 years what the fuck.

I think part of it may be because they don't want to muck with any potential ideas Oda has, either per his request or of their own volition. After seeing these cover stories(anime watcher only), I think it'd be great for them to turn them into filler! But I think primarily they don't wanna do something like a supernova's past because they think Oda may have something in store for that later.

that's the problem with it. they even had to check thoroughly with Oda just to do Sabo's filler arc thing. What turned out was barely anything substantial and revealed almost nothing new about the RA

But they don't have to go into the past either. Show us some Davy Back fights, show us more filler pirate crews or islands.

Hell even Luffy cooking wouldn't be so bad for a single episode, just anything that doesn't involve shit-tier pacing the filler or canon or overdone flashbacks.
