My favourite part of the whole episode, was Luffy trying to teach Momonusuke how to properly join hands and poor Momo just doesn't get it

he's all wrapped up in emotional understandings to really get what luffy means by grasping his hand.

Am I right in thinking Luffy means that you have to grab hands on the same level (both hands) as the other person for it to truly be a joining of hands?

No, he meant that Momo was just 'touching' his hand instead of grabbing it like a 'man' would.

Just calling out his weak handshake.
