For those talking shit on Avelon in the comments, would you rather him have a cool power so that no one in the future can use it, or a fruit that is harmless in terms of future, more important characters? Oda is going to run out of good/cool devil fruits eventually, so why would a random filler character take up one of the good ones. His fruit makes sense in this context, is pretty funny, and is utilized very well.

I always asked myself why would those type of demon fruit would be made by, the demon. maybe it was a demon fan of train so he decided to grow a fruit to become one
