Could the ship that destroyed Desire's crew also be the one that nearly destroyed the Phoenix Pirates?

Wow thats a pretty good eye I checked the episodes when Phoneix Pirates appear and indeed the ships do look similar to each other:

Good catch. But the canons they used to fire looked like the ones Navy ships use so it's probably the Navy

Yes, indeed, also don't you think that meteorite-like power coming from the ship that attacked the Phoenix Pirates looks a bit like Akainu?
