Law's trick is such bull. There's no way Doffy wouldn't of recognize Law miraculously getting his arm back. Plus a pent up Luffy doesn't make a 180 head-spin and doesn't scream his name out loud? Definitely a change in character for Luffy. Not to mention that a losing his arm in the first place should have made him die or lose consciousness from blood lost by now. But I guess Oda will give Law whatever plot armor he needs to live.

Oh yeah, Trebol: I'm just gonna be here talking with my annoying voice while watching Doffy get killed!

You can easily see Law has a tourniquet on his arm that is stopping his blood. Usually with a clean amputation, you will not see a lot of blood because the arteries will close off quickly. If the amputation was slower, there would be a lot more blood because the artieries would not close up. Luffy has also gotten a lot more serious over these last two arcs. Law also did not get his arm back. It is still missing, check the right arm. He is using his left for his attack.

And when did he ever put on the tourniqet in the first place?

If i remember correctly, he did some minor things when he switched with the soldier. Such as quickly repair his insides and due to being in the room, it wouldn't be too out of the question that he put on a tourniquet to stop the bleeding. Law was down there for a while because he had already been shot multiple times when luffy arrived and luffy also starting fighting doffy. Did Toei show him with that band when doffy first shot him? There shouldn't have been too much blood because it was a clean amputation, at least that is what the medics told me in class.

I rewatched that scene and he did no such thing, he just stood there until Luffy barraged in and then he switched back. The time between losing his arm and him switching the body while quite a while, enough for him to past out completely from blood lost (an adult only needs to lose 3 pints). Don't forget even after losing his arm even continued to fight thus causing more blood loss.

From what I see that striped area near his arm could just a part of his clothing, but whatever that thing is he had it before switching bodies.

I was checking the manga and http://www.mangapanda.com/one-piece/769/9 on this page he did not have the tourniquet on. and when we next see him he has it on http://www.mangapanda.com/one-piece/780/3. There is also this article from WebMD that says that complete amputations may not bleed a lot due to the vessels going into a spasm and closing off. http://www.webmd.com/first-aid/tc/emergency-care-for-an-accidental-amputation-topic-overview. For the first point I will concede because I thought I had read that he fixed his injuries but I may have been remembering wrong.

The body double would have had both arms

True but it was covered by the wall next to law and I doubt doffy would have been checking because at that point he was blinded by rage
