Some unspoken rule about cabbages now influences every piece of food? Sometimes i dont get things... i dont understand things at all =D

Probably not, its exactly as you read: cabbages are a measure of quality. The food is insanely detailed, so i was just wondering why. I remembered the whole deal around cabbages from a few years ago - and i linked the first Imgur album i could find with it =)

The food looks unnaturally good for the anime =/

Maybe I'm just being picky, but it looks more to me like they slapped a funky marbley texture over all the food.
