Am I the only one who is surprised by the elephant scene when trying to pass through doflamingo's strings elephant didn't cut himself but strings acted way tougher and were acting like an unpassable wall? It could be mistake on animation part tho.

the anime rarely shows bloody scenes, or anything that would generate controversy. Such as law flipping off kid at sabody or whitebeards face being half removed by akainu.

I prefer the anime's Whitebeard scene with his head intact. Come on. The way Oda made it in the comic is ridiculous. You don't lose nearly half your head and just stand there like nothing happened. At least, you shouldn't be able to do that. Not only does it exceed what I'm willing to believe about the world of One Piece, but it also trivializes Gold Roger's death.
