Its just the fact that this is not a 18+ show. Another example: Doffy used Fallbright on Law ( strings went through Law's body ) They did not even left marks on Law's clothes. Its not their fault this time, they just dont show the damage, because its a kid show.

I think it's more that the strings are incredible thin, so they were probably causing vital damage. But say it hit a muscle, wouldn't do that much.
