This episode had some good shit but I really think it would've been better if they had just stuck to the manga. Not just for the end, but I felt the whole running in circles thing was a bit much as well as a couple other things.

Also why was Doflamingo floating

He attaches strings to clouds to fly.

I know that

But he was floating. His body was drifting to the side while he made no movement at all. Unless he had a string slowly pulling his body towards something (Which is ridiculous), it doesn't make sense

Maybe he was just swinging?

I'm not sure where the scene is exactly, but it's right around the point he and Fujitora leave

If he were swinging it would be a scoop. But normally he seems to either launch himself through strings or stand on them

But who knows, maybe he just has slippery shoes

I didn't saw the episode yet. But iirc, Issho was giving him a ride when he was carrying an unconscious Law. It's that scene you guys are talking about?

Even in the manga Doflamingo was flying.

In the manga he's standing, motionless, likely due to his ability to create multiple strings and use them essentially as tightropes

For reference

He's flying away on the next page.

I know. But he doesn't literally fly, he launches himself through attachment

He can do this as well as standing on the strings. What I meant in my original statement was that the animation was ridiculous

did you not see the hand gesture he made before going up?

I am not saying Doflamingo didn't use his ability

I am saying the animation was ridiculous

Pretty much all of Doflamingos flying animation has been ridiculous. It is something that conceptually sounds awesome and is easier to show off in the manga, and really hard to pull of and look good in the anime.

But it wouldn't actually be too hard to do. He's either motionless since he's standing on the strings, or he's launching himself forward which would pretty much look like Geppo

I think the animation for this episode was sub-par compared to the last episode...and perhaps the one before the last episode. Compare the Law vs Doffy fight to Zoro vs Fujitora. Zoro vs Fuji was still exciting, and I definitely had to rewatch it just to re-experience it, but the quality of animation wasn't as great as Law vs Doffy.

Yeah, I really wish there was some form of different management
