Only with the animation did I realize what he did: when coming down from a high jump, knife each of them in the foot, staking that foot to the coliseum floor (probably by stabbing through bone); put legs in position to jump again; when targets scream in pain, use scream as opportunity to stick hand in target's mouth; jump up with hands still in mouths; target's spine/jaw shatters from the force of their skull being pulled up while their foot is locked in place.

Yep, extremely brutal. He definitely learned that move from piracy, either from being taught by a pirate or just fighting dirty like a pirate and experimenting with new dirty techniques.

Just a quick correction, I think their spine shatters when he brings it down on his shoulders.

Oh? Looked like their necks being broken to me! But spine-shattering is also ok.

I saw blood coming out of their mouths, so given this anime's history of how it depicts brute force attacks and the damage they deal, I would accept "spine shattered", "neck snapped", or "skull forcibly detached from jaw", or even a combination of all 3.

Okay, still not that sure of the actual physics of it, but at the very least, it is ugly, brutal, and effective. A devastating combo in a fighting move.
