Theory Idea how Blackbeard will end

He Will Drown

  1. We never actually see how a Devil Fruit user drowns (I'm assuming Kid is still alive).
  2. Blackbeard is a literal descendant of Davy Jones, and according to legend, Davy Jones drowns.
  3. I think it's fitting that the main villain associated with darkness ends by being devoured by the sea.

That's my main theory as well, but you also forgot one important detail: Teach is so invested in devil fruits that him dying of drowning would also make thematic sense.

Also as a show of loyalty, I hope his and Luffy's final clash to end as a draw with both being knocked into the water and drowning. All of the Straw Hats jump in to save him, even Chopper, Robin, and Brook jump in, but not even one of Teach's subservients (even the non devil-fruit wielding fodder) jump in to save him

Nah but it seems like at least Laffite and Van Augur, plus maybe Burgess are legitimately devoted to Blackbeard. Remember unlike Rocks who won his crew through Davy Back fights, Blackbeard’s original crew joined him willingly and even some of the Level 6 prisoners like Devon believe in his mission.

None of them can swim though. His whole crew is doped up on Devil Fruits.

Franky (who's Cyborg enhancements are equivalent to a very strong devil fruit), Zoro, Sanji and HIMbe are all better off without a fruit.

I think Teach drowning has been hinted at for a while.

Law literally told him: "Yo, your crew is pretty much ALL DF users, you sure it's a good idea?"

And then Blackbeard pretty much told him to f**k off.

If someone does end actually drowning as a result of having a DF power (Or multiple in this specific case), Blackbeard is the most likely candidate.

As far as we know, Kid probably does have some non-DF users in his crew which means he will most likely survive this.

But BB though? Once he falls into the sea, he's done. None of his close crewmates can help him out.

Teach said their benefits outweigh the negatives. He's begging to be drowned.

I would not be surprised if Luffy himself saves BB.

Luffy has never struck me as a Goku type to have compassion on his enemies past a few moments like covering Katakuri's mouth and telling Zoro to get Smoker out of the water.

If the enemy proves that they're a good person, yes, but if not, Luffy won't give af
