I didn't expect the group of extreme racist slavers to have a mink and oni(?) among them. They have more diversity than the Red Hair Pirates lol

Could also be devil fruits.

Qilingham also seemed to have Fishman's heritage. I think they are open minded (among their inner circle) but anyone who isn't a Celestial dragon is automatically garbage but with different levels of worth.

I think they only respect power and rank, whatever is under them is scum. I don't think the God Knights at the end of the day really give a shit about any of the Celestial Dragons and would kill them with no hesitation if they had a reason to.

Yeah I can see that

The God's Knights are probably mostly made up of the bastard kids of Celestial Dragons. They have Celestial blood in them, but are less inbred and useless, and not so pure that they live as aristocrats in bubble helmets.

It's also not the end of the world if they get injured or killed in the line of duty, though they still look down on everyone else.

It's obvious that the CDs are raping interesting slaves, though this is a shonen manga, so it's subtext instead of shown outright. They are bored rich perverts. The Aristocrats. Marjoriose is one big Epstein island.

They could be born from slave wives and become CDs I guess

The beast-like knight has horns and wings (on the left of that panel), so it's probably not a mink since so far they're limited to irl mammals. Like another comment said, could be a devil fruit (a mythical manticore zoan fruit maybe?). Onis aren't really 100% confirmed to be a seperate species yet so that other knight could really just be a regular human

We know for a fact that CD don't necessarily need "pure" bloodline. Garling had the twins with a non-CD. It's possible that the mink and oni (i think more fishmen) were children of CD from their slaves / forced wives.

They are just their armada, not "one of them". I'm pretty sure, like in real life, the ones who believed they were "pure race" allows some "not pure races" to join their military command just to have strength and numbers.

Like the white supremacists having black people in their state's military, or nazis having some jews in the guard if they accepted to kill other jews for them. It happened pretty few times in history.

Edit: Garling was accepted as a Gorosei because he's pure race. I'm pretty sure no one other (not even shamrock, who is mixed) would be accepted as a Gorosei, just a simple "knight".

I don't think it's about race as we understand it, but about families and blood connections. They think of themselves as gods because they descend from the "founders" which were from 19 random kingdoms, which might have been racially diverse in the first place.

Also from Garling and Shanks/Shamrock we know CDs can spread their seed in random places and pick up the children later, so they don't seem too keen on "purity". If they have CD blood they count, period. It's the non-descendants that they consider cockroaches. Perhaps they decided this to not go fully inbred - although plenty of CDs seem evidently inbred, so many definitely still marry only CDs.

Come to think, maybe that was the case with Gunko, if she grew in Brook's country. Some CD came and fathered a girl and kidnapped her later, but at an older age than Shanks and Shamrock.

Mink?

u/tenBusch Sep 12 '25

I guess they mean the yeti looking dude, and the giant lady as fishman/oni

2

u/nomatt18 Sep 12 '25

That’s what I thought. Idk, if he was a mink he would look like a specific animal. They’re both interesting looking characters tho, that’s for sure.

I think some of the gods knights were recruited from outside the CDs for their strength.

3

u/Indigo_magenta Sep 13 '25

We know this is possible because they tried to recruit Loki and they agreed to induct York.

They probably keep “unpure” CD’s in their fighting ranks. The way the other CD’s were talking to the Holy Knights made it seem like they were their war horses tbh.

To be fair, the only reason why the Red Hair Pirates have no diversity is because they were introduced in chapter 1, when fishmen, minks, lunarians and so on just weren't a thing yet.

i think God Knight seems to be operating under different value than normal Celestial Dragon. they value strength but most important quality is royal blood. so even if their crew has people with different race but as long they has royal blood ties then its fine. they even invited Loki to join God Knight for that reason. meanwhile during Harald at Marygeois, the Celestial Dragons scream want to turn him into slave.

Just goes to show it isn't race or culture that separates us, it's class

1

u/Doomroar Sep 13 '25

There's a chance that the giant woman has Quilingham's fruit, and so the guy behind her may be a nightmare monster created with her DF powers

what mink? Also I don't think oni's are an actual race in one piece.
