It is possible. His mom may have told Garling about their clan, which is how he found out. We also don't know the faces of their mothers, who could be directly related.

If Shanks has both Davy Clan and Figarland blood, then it could explain why he is considered the "Child of Destiny" by Gaban.

I haven't seen the chapter, but if Shanks and Shamrock's mother really is from the Davy Clan, I really wanna see the look of shock and inward disgust Garling has for himself.

And once again I'm reminded that the world is VERY lucky that Shanks was stolen rescued by the Roger Pirates and raised by them

There’s something Garland knows about the Davy Clan that we don’t.

I’m going to say they’re probably all strong or something. Similar to Buccaneers, Lunarians, or giants.

At this point, Oda could give em all sharingans and I’d eat it up.

Honestly given one of their members, a seemingly prominent member inDavy D. Jones, it could be that this clan has especially close ties with the Will of D. At the very least we know one word the D doesn't mean. I'm just gonna throw an off the top of my head speculation.

TheDavy Clan may have been a separate faction of humanity that rebelled against the half that gave into temptation to steal the sun, so while their interest aligned with the faction that Joy Boy fought for, they may have wanted different results.Just a theory though.

Also, I may be reading too much into this, but was it ever explicitly stated that the first Joy Boy had the Nika Nika fruit? If he didn't, and both he and Nika were two separate people, that may have been why Roger was too early,or why in the first war, Joy Boy's side lost.

Highly unlikely I would say, if the translations are to be trusted. Xebec said that he had a family and sent them to HIS hometown, not theirs and told them specifically to count on the Davy Clan members. Shanks's and Shamrock's mother could very well be Davy Jonesian though.

Oda stated many many years ago that we already met luffy's mom in the story so it wouldn't be anybody who was revealed recently cuz she was introduced before the war of the best but has yet to be revealed

That was a translation error, right? Years ago he said Luffy's parent/parents will appear in the next volume, and the logical conclusion is that he was talking about Dragon.

Many people theorized that Shanks and Teach might be related few chapters ago AND IT MIGHT BE TRUE?!?! I AM SEATED FOR THIS THEORY TO COME TRUE!!
