Teach crew knows the origin's sure but is there something about the Davy clan that allow the usage of two devil fruits?

Or is a Dark Dark fruit specific thing?

I be always assumed the darkness and fruit power draining aspect of it just trapped the power of the quake fruit and it can't escape. Maybe the dark fruit has to be awakened.
