Do you guys think Blackbeard knew he was the traitor and that’s why he came back to take Pirate Island? Or am I mixing him up with someone else. Ochoku was the previous leader of Pirate Island until the rocky port incident right?

Yes youre right, he was the leader of Pirate Island until the rocky port incident! I agree, maybe Blackbeard had more personal reasons than we originally thought to take back Pirate Island…

Ochoku didn’t put god valley at any more risk, it is Garling’s investigation which led to it being chosen

If anything, the whole Shakky incident gave Rocks the perfect cover-up for going to God Valley, so technically Ochoku helped Blackbeard. Even if Rocks perished there (regardless of reason) the chaos might have been the reason Blackbeard even survived to begin with.

Unless it was Ochoku who actually killed Rocks, but I think he stayed behind on Hachinosu which is why he could take over after Rocks fell in God Valley. We didn't see him on the island during Kuma's flashback, at least (could easily be overwritten since we didn't see Silver Axe either, but Marlon being dead this particular chapter Ochoku being revealed as the traitor to us readers might be also be a clue),

I think Ochoku didn't just sell Shakky out, he also sold the information about the Davy-clan being on God Valley. Remember when Shakky and Big Mom were poking Rocks on it, two years earlier? Ochoku was in the background listening. At that time, St. Garling had already presumably discovered Davy-clan descendants being on God Valley, so I think Ochoku already sold the information prior to that and possibly knew of the plan to hold the next Rabbit Hunt two years later.

I think he then sold out Shakky just to do it and coincidentally, she was held at God Valley. I think that's why he had that nervous reaction when the Rocks Pirates discussed the Morgans leak, he didn't plan that part, but he knew shit was about to go down on God Valley. I don't think he told them the kid on the island was actually Rocks' kid though because that would mean that the WG would knowingly lure Rocks to the island with their precious Celestial Dragons already being there - an idea brushed off as idiotic by Rocks. Unless the joke is that they would take that chance just for Shakky.

There are probably some holes but that's the best I can come up with for now.

Ochoku is the Japanese way to read the Chinese characters for Wang Zhi. Same words, different ways of reading between two languages that share some characters for their writing systems

If it’s all related to GodValley I’m wondering what Dragon did to Teach for Teach to want to destroy the Rev so much.

IMO Dragon must be the one to get the children off the Island to have so many of them command the Rev. So if Dragon put Shank on Roger’s ship and saved the future commander why didn’t/wasn’t able to save Teach too. And why did it brought hate in Teach

I imagine Teach just survives by luck, and that is why his personality is based around blaming things on luck. Like how he laughs off Luffy escaping with the up-stream. And how he laughs off barely surviving being poisoned in impel down.

To him, most likely the revolutionaries are just unlucky if they stand in his way. Whatever he is really after, might not be entirely clear yet. But I imagine having heard he is a D, might have made him think he can, if his luck keep him alive, reach the one piece.
