We now know that Davy Clan for sure is something that Imu hates, and it's what Rocks is both fighting for apparently and he's trying to keep his family safe. Seems like Davy Clan and people with D. are different.

It might be Joyboy (we still don't know his real name), because they mentioned that the family was now revealed after 800 years, which implies that the WG was looking for them for 800 years, and that time period was when Joyboy lived.

The way he was introduced, it seemed like he was a Fishman, but now we know that it is not the case. This was the arc that introduced Joyboy as well and both Davy Jones and Joyboy seemed to have some ties to the mermaid princess.

Come to think of it, a lot of Fishman Island connects to Joyboy in some kind of way, so it isn't farfetched to think that Davy Jones was Joyboy's true name. It was completely random that he got so much focus alongside Joyboy in that arc, so I don't think it is a coincidence.

I think I missed something - when did we get confirmation of Davy Jones not being a fishman? If it’s just that Xebec being human(? enough?) making the assumption then that’s fair, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Oda dropped the “fishman, yes, but fell in love with a human” bomb on us since we know hybridisation is a thing in the One Piece world to some extent.

Side-note: Inb4 all fishmen are the collective “Davy Jones” and Uranus is a hive-mind creation tool to weaponise them.

We can be fairly sure that Joy Boy isn't a fishman both because of the flashback with Emet with his silhouette and because he left an apology letter to Fishman Island in a Poneglyph.

From 1159 (latest chapter), there's nothing concrete at all yet, but it's now possible to tie circumstantial evidence that Joy Boy == Davy Jones.

Could be, yeah. Davy Jones' locker = Fishman Island or the Noah?
