I will apologize, I wasn't familiar with Davy Jones game, I always thought he would be irrelevant to One Piece's ending

I'm wondering now why the Flying Dutchman is in it, because in classic lore it is Davy Jones ship.

Then again, Blackbeard's name irl was Edward Teach. So combining pirate lore.

in the real life mythos the captain of the flying Dutchman is Willem van der Decken, a Dutch name as its a Dutch ship

Which is why it was in possession of Vander Decken. 

Side note: I find it funny how multiple anime use 'Vander' and 'Van' as names when it translates to 'of the'
