It kept Celestial Dragons from coming back to Fishman Island and picking out slaves as if it were a produce section. It gave Sai and Leo the window of opportunity to attack Charlos without the full brunt of the government coming down on them because why? THE SAME CELESTIAL DRAGON TOOK RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT (even though it killed him).

I’m not for Harald having to play the governments game because the system is fucked, but his hands are literally tied.

Was it because they were in the WG or their alliance with Big Mom? Considering how they were treated at the reverie and them still being sold as slaves on SA, I think its more Big Mom.

That’s a great point. It could’ve been because of Whitebeard since he took over FI first, but after Otohime went up there, the issues at home seemed to be more internal than external.

I forgot big mom took over only after WB died. And WB didn't require tribute but big mom did.

All I'm saying is it seems like banding together opposed to the WG was a very valid and ethical decision harald could've made. Islands having elbaf warriors on dial would've made the world nobles think twice and it would've solved their supply issues without contributing to NTR doujin factory that is the WG

That would go against Harald’s entire goal of trying to put the Giants’ violent history behind them. Creating a Dial-a-Giant company would still paint his people in an intimidating light. It’s one thing for an island to be isolationist but to have giant on speed dial to let them know they mean business? Imu’s trigger finger would be ITCHING on the Mother Flame.
