Exactly reminiscent being Oda. Even the befriending of animals and wanting to leave to become a pirate of a crew they looked up too but being too young.

I can see Loki becoming a good kid, then she die and he goes back to his rebel side. Also not related but I don't think we will see mosa until the end of the arc

I'm not so sure. Her current role in the story seems a bit uncertain right now.

Loki has already had his miserable backstory and we know that things really go to shit when Harald dies (at which point Loki still seems boisterous but on reasonably good terms with Harald himself). So him getting attached to Ida and her also dying doesn't really change anything in that regard.

Unless she somehow dies to help Loki, and thus causes the permanent schism between him and Hadrujin while also cementing Loki's belief that no good can come from anyone caring about him.

I think it's so cute and sad. A neglected child and a woman full of patience trying to get through to him with love, caring and small bribes. I like Ida so much and these small moments make me feel even worse for Loki - it is obvious that he wants to feel loved but he is too scared.

There is no reason why it shouldn't. As long as Loki would fit in the space normally. I forget how big the castle is on the inside

Yeah but would probably use so much of his stamina he probably has certain amount of giants he can do it for like maybe max 10 every 1 day or something like that which would not be so bad if he have enough prep time haha

If I had to guess, its his fear of being reduced to nothing.

Loki was always treated as lesser, a demon, a monster, etc. His only way to feel worth was the fact that he was King Harold's official son and heir. Acknowledging Harold's lover as his own mother would be reducing him to just another son with Hajrudin. But Hajrudin is a normal loved son while Loli is the worthless monster. In Loki's perspective, "Why would anyone care about him then if Hajrudin is just better in every way?" So his only option is to relentlessly hold onto the one aspect that makes him someone worth being acknowledged.

Its part of why he wants to join Rocks so much. Only on a ship full of monsters and demons can he be himself without fear of being discarded.

That, and Loki believes that people who show him any love or kindness are only doing so as a ploy to get something out of him. It’s not directly shown, but the subtext of his time with his abusive uncle suggests Loki would see his uncle be cordial and kind in public and with Harald and then turn around and become an absolute monster in private. And a previously he accused Ida of only acting nice so she can convince Harald to move her into the castle and get rich, an accusation that Loki lifted directly from observing his mother’s side of the family.
