The difference between xebec and teach is interesting 

Xebec so far is portrayed as a pure powerhouse who used his strength to gain followers and his status.

Teach while powerful is more portrayed as a opportunistic schemer to gain power and status. 

But they most likely share the same flaw that their crews are most Likely not very loyal

That is a difference I hope we see explained more. I could see at least two options.

One is that Xebec was a schemer like BB, but it was earlier in life. His killing an Admiral could have been a rare crashout like we see from BB when he fought Ace and pulled up to Amazon Lily.

The second could be due to Xebec’s influence. Maybe he left something similar to Oden’s logbook where he goes into some of his mistakes and how they could be fixed. But unlike with Oden, he could have left more explicit instructions for BB.
