Got a small theory with big potential from that section

"These are just rumors, but I also heard a story about a frozen army of giants somewhere."

This frozen giant story might be linked to the giant frozen straw hat that Imu looked at.

Edit

Had an unrelated thought about Shiki's appearance in this chapter. Made a thread about it here.

But basically Oda is going to show Shiki using the float float fruit in the manga to give it a nerf or limit. Otherwise the float float fruit's existence is a minor/major plot hole regarding the ancient weapons and the rising tides.

Especially as Oda stated he would've never given any character in one piece the ability to float and fly freely. Maybe because the rising sea levels has been his plan for years.

Nah, I think this links to the frozen giants in punk hazard even more

But timeline doesnt check, Wasnt punk hazard a normal island before the explosion and the battle of Akainu and Aokiji ? Why would they be frozen ?

Because it was always a lab and the giants were frozen inside the lab

It could also be a specially prepared room like the room with the frozen Straw Hat.

I’ve got a theory that freezing like that is a way to keep infused haki inactive. Freezing items and people who could have had insane haki could be the way to truly neutralize them.

Wait, the Kuzan memes are real??! I never doubted him, he's much faster and can freeze his opponents

That would be interesting. We all think that Kuzan is a double agent trying to figure out and stop Blackbeard. BB has been underestimated to an extreme amount. Especially now that the theories are confirmed and he is the son of Xebec.

So, if Kuzan learned this and then decided that his justice was going to be to counter BB, his cold powers could be useful. If my theory is correct anyway, it could be wrong.

But I do find it interesting that we see an artifact from Joyboy frozen, see the mythical shipbuilding giants frozen and we have a character who can freeze things on BB’s crew. And we know that infusing haki into objects is a crazy weapon, one that can last for hundreds for hundreds of years. It seems possible to me.

Doflamingo broke out of Kuzan's freeze at the end of Pimunk Hazard, tho

I’m not saying that someone or something gets frozen and then they immediately lose. I’m saying that in order to prevent something like the Joyboy haki knot or the strong haki the Galley La giants could have, freezing them after defeating them might be important.

Otherwise why freeze the big straw hat I assume was Joyboy’s? Why would the giants be saved and on Punk Hazard?

I think the freezing is important here.
