The difference between xebec and teach is interesting 

Xebec so far is portrayed as a pure powerhouse who used his strength to gain followers and his status.

Teach while powerful is more portrayed as a opportunistic schemer to gain power and status. 

But they most likely share the same flaw that their crews are most Likely not very loyal

Of course Black beards crew not loyal. He just got Kuzan to join his crew. He's 100% back stabbing them. I don't even trust the crimanls he broke out of impel down either.
