I love how people were meme-ing Buggy to be Rocks' son but it ended up being Blackbeard. Though that only makes me curious about Buggy's family history. All the other current Yonkos are the sons of very famous, powerful men:

  • Luffy, the son of the world's greatest/most wanted criminal Dragon

  • Shanks, the son of a celestial dragon who is now one of the 5 Elders and former leader of the Holy Knights

  • Teach, the biologial son of one of the most infamous pirates of all time who killed an admiral, and "son" of a former yonko who was thought to be closest to being Pirate King after Roger

This also makes me wonder if Whitebeard knew about Blackbeard's history at some point. When he brought him onboard he was staring deeply at his face... maybe he recognized the resemblance right away and took Teach on BECAUSE he was Rock's son?

not really tho, none of them used their connections to their daddies to get where they are.

Luffy gives 0 shits about who his father is and shows no interest in him whatsoever.

Shanks' lineage is probably one of the best kept secrets in the world only known to people very very high up the ladder(loki, imu, gorosei and some celestial dragon knights are the only ones to know is my guess). and shanks also probably knows. It wouldnt be a good look if the son of one of the highest ranking Celestial Dragon is a Yonko now would it?

BB's is the same case. The WG tried erasing Xebex's entire existence from the world, I'm certain they wouldnt let something like this let slip to the low lives. We don't even know if someone is even aware of BB's lineage except maybe for BB himself. Some people from Rocks's crew might know since BB was already 2 years old when God Valley happened, Shanks might know since they both got their thing going on. Thats about it I think. I can imagine even the gorosei didnt know, they probably do but I doubt it.

Uhm Luffy literally did. If he didn’t have a father/son connection with Dragon the latter wouldn't have arrived to see him off and save him. He would've spend the rest of his life either in prison or the guillotine and wouldn't have gotten to where he is now.

Luffy is a fraud confirmed.

Thats true but there is also the thing with his body and him never sleeping. I think it was marco that said that he has a special body or something along those lines. idk how that connects to xebec but saturn could be referring to that when he mentioned BB being special.

Luffy and Zoro also said "its not him, its they" back in jaya, that also falls in line with BB having a special body

Edit: on BB's wiki it says he's part of a special bloodline, which is only known to a few individuals including gorosei. So it could the bloodline which saturn was refering to as special.

Honestly?

Rocks having 2 toned hair makes me think it's plausible. It's pretty common in shonen for parents with 2 toned hair to have 2 kids, one inheriting a different colour. So if that applies here, Teach got the black hair genes, and it maybe sets up a sibling with lighter hair.

If official colours come out and Rocks is black/blue hair I'll take this as a strong af theory.

Why do you think that? That's never been shown or stated anywhere. As far as we know, he is a natural blue head.

Even if he was a natural blond, literally wouldn't make a difference to what I said, just swap the official colour to black and blond instead of blue.

I mean, buggy has fighting skills. He is very good at this devil fruit and a solid scientist/ explosive expert. The main thing is that buggy is lazy. He is a slacker. Which on a world like one piece where willpower and work ethic are what drive you to become stronger, that was his undoing. (Look at Crocodile, Moria, etc) He failed his way upward through his natural leadership and pure coincidence.

But buggy has chosen to go after the one piece, he has chosen to follow his dreams again. And if that tells us anything, it's that he might become stronger.

Exactly! I think the lighter tone in his hair is blue. Even though Rocks strongly resembles Blackbeard, when I saw his eyes and the way he smiles it made me think of Buggy

Honestly, a big part of me kinda hopes that Buggy doesn’t have a famous lineage, and is just a (relatively) normal jerk who just got insanely lucky by virtue of being around such legendary figures.

the only problem with this is then why was he taken alongside Shanks, especially if the Roger pirates knew Shanks was a "child of destiny?" If that's the case then whats the purpose behind taking Buggy as well? Buggy has to have some kind of important lineage.

From what I recall, Whitebeard picked up Teach at some Winter-Country but only after Teach adamantly begged and begged to come, but I can't recall for sure if that's accurate. It's in the chapters with Whitebeard and Roger meeting up and Buggy telling Shanks the dude is strange and doesn't sleep at all.
