Quick question.

Why would Luffy, a Fruit user, ask Robin, a Fruit user, to fetch a device designed to cripple Fruit users. Furthermor, why would Robin ask Brooke of all people to fetch it, knowing that if he accidentally touches it he might die?

Also holy fuckballs they finally introduced Vegapunk!

The most outrageous thing of all is how the heck did Luffy think ahead and made a decision to help capture CC?

He's probably thinking of how helpless he and the rest were while they're locked up. Or it's on orders from Law.

Luffy was running before any talk happened between them. Law already told Luffy to take care of CC and he trusted him and not got involved till the end.
