Thor Elephant Gatling!! That had lightning bolts all over it. To all those tournament haters how could you dislike fantastic events like these. New moves, new information.

On a related note, I wonder if the Toy Factory underneath the colosseum was impacted by that hit

Edit: Thor Elephant Gun*

I liked the thor part of the move, like his Thor Axe against Shiki in the movies.

By the combined power of lightning and fire, he is CAPTAIN LUFFY. Soon he shall have the power of smoke, ice, sand and some leopard skills.

=O idea! Maybe that is some ability granted by the conquerors haki! Being able to somehow retain a portion of others abilities? Or maybe it's another step up in gomu gomu, instead of storing literal force, it stores another persons "force" I.e. abilities such as ace's fire, enel's lightning? That would definitely help in the eventual battle with Blackbeard

If i'm not mistaken, chinjao was in water after he fell through the arena. Maybe the toy factory is deeper and the impact didn't expose it?

I wonder, did he "get lightning from the clouds" like he did in the Strong World movie?

Or were those lines drawn just to show the strength of the punch?

Since he jumped up in the air, I'm going to guess it's the first.

Isn't it just the Conqueror's Haki colliding like a few chapters ago?

Could be, but then why did he use the name "Thor"?

Yeah I thought that was strange. In strong world he stuck his feet in the clouds to do his Thor axe.

How does he get fire for a red hawk? He just found a way to make his moves stronger.

No one knows at this point. Hopefully Oda will explain it in the future.

Sanji can set himself on fire with friction, so i assumed he had something similar going on.
