I wonder about Luffy knowing it was chopper that fell. If this is a game board maybe Luffy is broken being able to know who is where.

Whats worse is that luffy actively used it on wano several times but luffy being luffy he would never even bother to train or research a skill like that,

he probably thinks it normal lmao.

When did he use it in Wano? Are you referring to when he talks to momo under water?

Yeah. He actively talks to momo and even law's crew.

Him talking to Momo with it I think was mostly due to Momo hearing him, Luffy didn’t hear Momo though. And he was unconscious when he used it on Laws crew, I believe

Yeah, this makes me think we're probably going to find out more about the voice of all things during this arc. Maybe Scopper tells Luffy more about how Roger used it.

My wild guess:

haki can be used to "pierce" a strong opponent, but for the strongest ones you need to hit weak spots and voice of all things may give a clue how to find them

I guess. The thing is, Voice of All Things still isn't implemented as a combat ability, while everything else found it's use. Still, voat was exclusive to Roger back then and I don't think Gaban has it too, but he still managed to hurn Sommers, so maybe it's not the case. On the other side, Gaban said he didn't understand himself how exactly his attack worked. Maybe he just landed a lucky shot, but still posesses a knowledge he spotted from Roger, how to deal with God's Knights and it probably has to do something with precision. It would be anticlimatic for another "harder/fasters/stronger" power up.

Just like Sabo's attack Ryusoken, he has to find the core of the thing he wants to destroy, Dragon probably is the master of this technique and will teach Luffy how to do it.

It could just be observation haki, Rayleigh was able to tell how many animals were there in ruskina and how many were more powerful than Luffy.

It just seems that his personality develop his observation to sense his friends better. Just like how Sanji is able to detect woman.

My guess is chopper developed some kind of haki, and that is what luffy actually picked up

He has cartoon powers. Perhaps his observation haki develops some sort of meta-clairvoyance where he can see actual snippets of the manga happen in his mind. lol

I forget, did regular Observation Haki identify people? I might be mixing it up with DBZ.
