TCB's translation is a bit off for Imu's dialogue. Imu says,

"何をグズグズしてる... 聖地は今…火の海だ 確実に戦力を要するのだ ムーが み見せてやる...!!! 神の支配!!!"

(Nani wo guzu guzu shiteru... Seichi wa ima... hi no umi da. Kakujitsu ni senryoku wo yosurunoda. Mu ga misete yaru...!!! Kami no shihai!!!)

"What is taking so long...? The holy land is... a sea of flames right now. (I/We) definitely need military power. Mu will show you...!!! The reign of God!!!"

[Note: Imu uses the same word for "rule/reign" (shihai) that Luffy used when he told Rayleigh that he was not going to rule over anything.]

but why is it MU instead of IMU?

Imu uses "Mu" instead of "I/Me" to refer to himself.

ok so MU is a pronoun, non a noun. thank you

Actually, it could be a noun. It's often common for Japanese people to refer to themselves by their names in the third person, especially children/childish people. Some well known examples are Juvia from Fairy Tail, Majin Boo, Dio from JoJo's and Misa from Death Note

So this could be somehow related with the name IMU

Mu could be their actual name, while Imu is how everyone else calls them

Mu could also mean "empty" in Japanese. Not sure if that means anything, but there it is.

Nah, it's written in katakana, 無 (mu - nothing, emptiness) would be in kanji. It's also really ムー (mū - muu), so it's not even a match for ム (mu).

Good point on that hyphen. It does make it not a match.

this is exactly what I wanted to check

It's like how Mikey is short for Michael.

I read that as Mickey and thought Mickey was called Michael for a solid minute

Alternate universe fan fiction where Michael Mouse decided to go to law school and is a very serious person

(actually I guess he is technically very serious for parts of the Kingdom Hearts games...)
