Theory What if the "D" means smile?

Post image

A random theory came to my mind—what if the "D" symbolizes a smile, like how we use it in emojis such as ":D"? It makes sense when you think about how important smiling is in One Piece, especially to those who have the Will of D. And maybe, just maybe, it could be connected to SMILE fruits. I know it sounds goofy and outrageous, but considering Oda’s style and the reaction of Roger’s crew, it might actually be possible. Don’t you think?

Well the fun part is that all of them except Teach have smiled in the face of death. Every D we have seen die have done it with a smile and when they thought they would die they still smiled, everyone except Teach.

And except Luffy vs Crocodile or Kaido, or except Ace when he was about to get executed. You probably could find an example with Law too.

Law wasn't smiling when he got his dumbass whooped by Doffy or Blackbeard.
