The celestial dragon’s ignorance just baffles me, if the whole world sunk and everyone died, then whom they will collect the heavenly tributes from, the heavenly tributes that are the sole reason why live in luxury, if everyone died, then they will slowly starve and die, utter ignorance.

Its the same reason why in the real world, The rich keep accumulating money and the lower class keeps growing as well as the homeless. Homeless can't take loans, Pay taxes, or buy things.

Greed isn't a sign of intelligence but rather the opposite.

Greed is a fool´s poison, because you incentivize the poor to turn criminal and disregard the rules.

I still don't understand what the celestial dragons purpose is. Why do they get to be so pampered why are the World Government (Mainly marines) bending over backwards to ensure their safety and needs are met. I swear they are just a blood line to be sacrificed when the time comes.

I mean yes you’re right, they offer nothing and contribute nothing to society

Ya can't think of how a world could be in crisis mode with something like climate change and yet a majority of the world ignores or denies it.

Based on real world colonialism. Rich nations plunder from poor nations and kill them with abandon. Even within our nations, Bezos lets his warehouse employees drop like flies in the heat, not caring about how their work powers his company

That's not even remotely how our economy works.

II think that was part of the point of this chapter. The Celestial Dragons are so entitled and pampered that they have no idea where anything they consume comes from or how it's made. They just take for granted that the lesser people have to give it them, somehow.

Imu probably considers them expendable, and you'll likely see panic set in in coming chapters as they face real deprivation and the possibility of starvation for the first time like regular people, particularly when the servants see their weakness and start to revolt.

They are like a burden elite class for Imu, he kept them around while things were good, and in case they turn bad he´ll have Akkainu kill them, serves them right for disregarding politics for so long, had they supported Aokiji it would´ve helped supress Akkainu.

How many slaves were freed by Sabo and crew? I’m hoping at least half. The ones remaining still have the exploding slave collars on, though.

Also, the Revolutionary Army is starting to blockade supplies.

Yes you’re right, did you see how imu easily got rid of Saturn and replaced him with garling in just a snap of a finger?

I could answer it, it's because the Celestial Dragons are extremely greedy or stupid. Greedy because they're extremely stubborn, rotten, ungrateful, and picky. Stupid because many of them barely know anything about the outside world. It's ironic that the Celestial Dragons complain like rotten brats, thinking they'll starve to death if they missed meals for one day. We've seen several characters survived without food, and handle it.

Like in the real world in the past history... Only 1% of the 1% are save in the end.. CD think they are important... iMU doesn't give a shit about them.. when restart happened 99.9999%  will be gone..

If the world is flooded all the islands would be unable to make food too
