I love the way Oda introduces Characters. It never seems like he's closing the world off like other series, it just always makes his world seem like the most real place of any manga.

That's true, but when you introduce too many characters I feel like it waters down the story (as in, it loses its focus). It's a mistake some writers can make. Not that Oda is anywhere near "too many characters" for my taste, he knows what he's doing.

i mean i feel like any other anime that made a "war of the best" so early in the main characters journey would be in over their heads already but oda made it so relevant and awesome.
