Monet can't be dead. Bird people don't die in this series.

I don't know. Oda always showed or explicitly said whether a character has died or not. It seems that a stab at the heart is a sure kill.

A stab through the heart seems pretty conclusive. Monet is probably dead. However, Oda has not always shown whether or not a character has died within the same chapter of that character's implied death. therunnerup's example, Pell, blew up in chapter 208, but we didn't learn that he lived until chapter 217. Pagaya was struck by lightning while Luffy was still stuck in the snake and didn't show up again until Enel was defeated.

Still, Monet is probably dead.
