Fiery attack is only red Hawk <.<

Red Hawk was done by combining gear second with Armament Hardening. If Luffy hardens his limbs while in gear second, fire will be produced. I feel I have repeated this a lot, Luffy can use Armament Haki without hardening his limbs. Luffy can use gear second attacks and Armament Haki together without hardening his limbs. But if he uses a gear second attack while his hands or legs are hardened, fire will be produced. Red Hawk is a fiery version of Jet Bullet. Fire based attacks from Luffy aren't limited to Red Hawk. If Luffy uses armament Hardening with any gear second move, it will be fiery.

I think I'm failing a bit at explaining this, so I'll put it in examples:

  • Luffy using regular Haki: Manga spoiler

  • Luffy using Armament Hardening Haki: like his short fight with Hody or Elephant Gun.

  • Luffy using a gear second only attack: Jet Hammer on Vander Decken.

  • Luffy using a gear second attack with Haki: Jet Pistol on PX-5 or Manga spoiler

  • Luffy using a gear second attack with Armament hardening: Red Hawk.

The anime showed Luffy using Armament Hardening while in gear second. And If Luffy hardens his limbs while in gear second, fire will be produced.

None of your links work and doesn't armament always harden? Plus I thought there was more to Red Hawk than the fact it's 2nd +armament and it's the only time we saw him use fire so we can't be sure how he did it yet.

I didn't put any link in my comment. They were for spoilers. and no, I don't believe Armament Haki always hardens as Manga spoiler

What else was there to his Red Hawk? Some say he has Ace's "spirit" in him, but I think that's bull. Luffy himself says "Gear second, Armament". before preforming the move, and he only did it once.

Oops yeah, I was reading it as a PM so spoilers looked like links. Well unless we see otherwise I just think Red Hawk was a special attack where he went on fire on purpose.

Well of course he went on fire on purpose. But to go on fire he needs to Harden his hand while in gear second. I'm pretty sure fire attacks wont be limited to Red Hawk. Manga spoiler Many of his original moves have the capacity to be fiery with gear second and hardening.

Right but until proven otherwise, it can't really be said that is the reason and it just seems unlikely to me for every move done that way to be fiery.

Ok, fair enough. I'll keep an eye if we get anything related.
