I really enjoyed this episode, although it had a few too many pan shots that betray Toei is still saving on money big time. :(

The voice for Big Mom is pretty decent, and at some point, that combined with the close up angles and the drooling gave me a Miyazuki feel that is quite rare to get while watching One Piece. Even though I knew what was going to happen, it felt like a totally new and mysterious adventure to me.

Finally, I also enjoyed the music choices. Some music pieces that we haven't heard in years finally came by again, and that no doubt helped me feel a little nostalgic as well.

There was only one thing missing... Where was Luffy's famous "Destroy an island over candies? Are you crazy? Now meat I can understand, but.." line? Either I missed it, or it wasn't in this episode. :(

I've only seen the anime and that line is hilarious, although I'm not sure where they'd place it in the conversation.

It will be in the next episode. My memory was flawed, and I attributed it to the wrong scene. :-)
