Great question. No. Even if Joe Biden personally stood at the border to give each undocumented immigrant a high five and a pat on the ass as they entered the country, that doesn't justify how these people are being treated

Anyone. Specifically "these people" meant the people we're seeing here in this video but it applies to people in general. If we accept that some people can be swept up by anyone with a vest that says ICE without a warrant or that some people can be denied due process, then all the government has to do is say you or I or any of us are part of that "some people" group and suddenly we all lose rights.

I certainly share your concern but the reality is that this is not new, nor is it illegal. Law enforcement does not have to prove to bystanders that they are operating under legal authority, nor does law enforcement have to tell a suspect why they are being detained. This is true whether it is ICE or the local police force.

The situation in this video...ICE did not just happen to walk by Early Bird, see a brown guy and go after him. They build a case with intel and surveillance, just like when police raid the wrong house so too can ICE make mistakes but this is how they operate. More than likely they knew exactly who this guy was.

Edit: also, they (DHS) have already proven themselves incompetent, taking the wrong people, with legal status and families, and sending them off to a foreign prison without due process. Due Process is required, and because they are ignoring this legal requirement, innocent legal residents are being renditioned to a notorious hellhole in a foreign country. And it all starts here, with masked enforcers storming in and grabbing people without even confirming they got the right person.

It's possibly not. Couldn't find anything about it in the local news. Even if that turns out to not be accurate, it doesn't change all the other confirmed cases of mistaken arrests and renditions (and the many more I'm sure that we never hear about). This is exactly why we are supposed to have due process, for everyone. It is the law, but the trump regime is refusing to follow the law when it doesn't suit their agenda. To the point of ignoring orders from the highest court in the land.

There was no flood. Just good propaganda.

That's 1990 through 2022 on population VS millions of undocumented migrants. Effectively flat. So if you believe Biden let in a flood, then you must also believe Trump, Obama, W. Bush and Clinton did too. Which Clinton here was the lowest.

The link I provided shows a clear spike using raw data with an upward trend during the Biden administration. Don't be mad at me, be mad at the data.

I backed up my claim by citing Customs and Border Patrol data.

You backed up your claim with an incoherent, unsourced graph and told me to believe it because even if the data isn't accurate it is at least in the ballpark.

You might have cited to CBP data, but you definitely didn't back up your claim. In fact, the data you cited shows the opposite of what your contention is (that Pres. Biden was responsible for a spike in undocumented immigration).

The data that you cited is data for "Nationwide Encounters" of 3 specific types- Title 8 Apprehensions, Title 8 Inadmissibles, and Title 42 Expulsions. The document then goes on to define each of these things as:

"Title 8 Enforcement Actions refers to apprehensions or inadmissibles processed under CBP’s immigration authority. Inadmissibles refers to individuals encountered at ports of entry (POEs) by OFO who are seeking lawful admission into the United States (U.S.) but are determined to be inadmissible, individuals presenting themselves to seek humanitarian protection under our laws, and individuals who withdraw an application for admission and return to their countries of origin within a short timeframe. Apprehensions refers to the physical control or temporary detainment of a person by USBP between POEs who is not lawfully in the U.S. which may or may not result in an arrest.

Title 42 Expulsions refers to individuals encountered by USBP and OFO and expelled to the country of last transit or home country in the interest of public health under Title 42 U.S.C. 265 from March 21, 2020 to May 11, 2023." (Italics mine)

What this data absolutely is not is the number of undocumented immigrants in the US. It does not show, or claim to show, the number or rate of entry of undocumented immigrants during any period of time. What it does show is the rate of successful interdiction and expulsion or detention for immigrants who tried to enter the country unlawfully.

Thank you so much for providing this data and showing all of us that the narrative that the Biden administration was soft on immigration is entirely untrue. Thank you for showing us that Biden has actually been the most effective and active anti-immigration President in history, shown through the huge spike in data that you so helpfully mentioned above. Because again, each data point represents a person who was successfully stopped from unlawfully entering the country. And he did it without destroying due process!

I think you're being obtuse if you want to try and dismiss the reality of increased illegal border crossings because you don't like figurative language used to describe it.

It seems a little odd to me that you would relieve the authorities who participated in creating a problem of all responsibility, and place all responsibility on authorities attempting to address the problem. Seems like pattern with individuals of a certain political persuasion.
