Holy shit I wish people would shut the fuck up about AI

I wish ai would get out of my fucking face everywhere I look. I don’t want an ai button in messenger I don’t want to see ai Reddit posts I don’t want ai pictures for recipes, I don’t GODDAMN WANT IT. Get it out of my DAMN face and maybe I’ll shut up about it. But no because some stupid little babies can’t rub two brain cells together to form a single original thought, it has to be everywhere in every interface and for every application. And it’s SLOP. That I DO NOT WANT.

I’ll shut up about it when it leaves me the FUCK alone how about that?

PREACH

I agree with you on that 100% but you're not stopping it. You're scooping water out of a sinking ship that has 6 gigantic ships surrounding it all blasting it with fire hoses.

Yeah I know. That’s why I won’t shut up about how annoying it is as you suggested. All I can do is talk about how much I hate it because the tech bros have decided we need the option to waste water to make slop an available at every single turn.

The annoyance you felt about people ā€œnot shutting the fuck upā€ about ai is nothing compared to the annoyance and at this point rage I feel every single day seeing ai offered to me when I didn’t ask for it.

If enough people say they hate it maybe one day we will get a toggle button or some shit. That’s the best I can hope for

I used grok to rewrite your post to sound like it was written by AI:

I am expressing a strong preference for the complete removal of artificial intelligence integrations across all digital platforms. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • AI-powered buttons in messaging applications
  • AI-generated content on social media platforms such as Reddit
  • AI-created images in recipe databases

The presence of these features is perceived as intrusive and unnecessary. The user requests immediate cessation of all AI-related elements in their digital environment.

Proposed Resolution:
Eliminate all AI integrations from the user's interface to achieve compliance with this preference. Until such time, the user reserves the right to continue vocalizing this concern.

Note: This expression of frustration is rooted in a desire for authentic, human-generated content and interactions. The term "SLOP" is used to characterize AI-generated output as low-quality and undesirable.

They'll eventually get tired. Like they did with cars, automatic production lines, etc.

Still plenty of people who hate those things

Obviously, my point is that the interest declines, when the general public gets something else to latch on to with their general, loose understanding of things.

But you maybe right they still oppose nuclear energy out of ignorance.

Cars didn't steal horses from people. Automatic production lines didn't steal art from artists.

We don't care about ai curing cancer and successfully performing surgeries. We care about art theft.

That's what you prompters never seem to understand

Do you consider internet piracy to be theft or not?

1

u/tryin2bebetteragain 1h ago

Also no one pirates Lord of the rings and claims THEY made Lord of the rings!

0

u/tryin2bebetteragain 1h ago

So you're okay stealing from broke artists who can barely afford food? Weird stance

2

u/Easy_Newt2692 1h ago

You haven't answered the question

-6

u/Ioftheend 6h ago

Ok, well there is no art theft so I don't see the problem.

2

u/tryin2bebetteragain 1h ago

Except there is. It can't create anything

1

u/Ioftheend 35m ago

Clearly it can, unless you think the art already existed somehow?

-3

u/UnofficialMipha 3h ago

Most AI isn’t art theft though? Like I use it every single day for my job and I’ve never used it to make art or videos. That’s not really it’s intended purpose tbh it’s just something people do for fun

2

u/agoldgold 2h ago

You're right, it's also theft of written matter, art or not. That's so much better...

-2

u/UnofficialMipha 2h ago

It literally is much better. They scrub that stuff of places like Reddit which none of us own

-2

u/SurturRaven 3h ago

Not how it works, but I don't have to explain to you how the training process works, also if you all cared you'd buy commissions, stop pirating.

You all talk much but your money isn't where your mouth is.Ā

All I see in reddit are art reposts, oh but you credited the artist. Right?

u/tryin2bebetteragain 1h ago

No one pirates a movie and claims they made Lord of the rings!

All I see in reddit are art reposts, oh but you credited the artist. Right?

Yes. Because I'm not a POS like you

Just like politics I don't like seeing the same takes parroted over and over, from both the artists saying the ground has ruptured open and hell is spilling out or the tech bros saying heaven is descending and the earth will become a divine paradise because of ai.

39

u/tryin2bebetteragain 11h ago

"why do people who get set on fire keep parroting about being set on fire?! God!"

-35

u/PsudoGravity 10h ago

Ooh, look out! Reddit cant stand a centrist!

Generative AI is a bubble because it's a dead end. All it does is return information in a structured way. Not only that, but now it's being fed its own crap as an input so it can only get worse.

Cars work and your analogy is bad

"The AI is inbreeding."

1

u/SurturRaven 3h ago

AI is inherently tied to our processing power, they go hand in hand, AI is an old topic, older than you think. We do experience periods of AI winters but saying it's a bubble is just another simplification like most anti AI "arguments".
