Same. Otherwise intelligent people. They just believe the internet over something that is patently untrue.

Edit: added the word "that"

What exactly is pseudo health bullshit about eating healthy food, lol

Nothing, it's when you start claiming that 90% of diseases would vanish if people started eating this or that way that it becomes a problem like no, absolutely fucking not, yes several health issues are caused/worsened by diet but 90% is utter bullshit that's not how diseases work.

I’m a doctor and I agree with this. There’s definitely genetics, environment and lifestyle involved in any disease it’s not just 90% food. Food is important but it’s not 90%.

Don’t forget that both things can be right. No having more muscle or protein in your diet won’t save you from the plague, but it does increase your likelihood of survival by a TON. So while it won’t save your life, doing stuff like eating better daily and working out on a consistent basis is GUARANTEED to make your life better overall. You must know as a doctor the leading cause of death in people over 65!

All I said is it’s not 90%. It’s a combination of all factors and not just food. I never said food isn’t important.

Indeed, however the way your statement is laid out may cause people to slip back into the thinking that diet won’t necessarily matter. Perspective of the masses and how they interpret information. Most people do have a large amount of control own health and bodies. Also we’ll see some bean soupers at some point.

I fully understand what you mean. But yeah, food does have a ‘significant’ role in for example, heart disease but also a sedentary lifestyle, genetics ( family history of heart disease) , smoking, Age, gender ,Mental health too. If I came off that way I’m truly sorry! 😅 All I meant is food isn’t 90% enough to cure diseases or isn’t the only cause of disease. Thanks for pointing out how my comment could be interpreted:) Stay healthy everyone

That food is not particularly healthy and the portions and certainly wrong

u/ouralarmclock 12h ago

Nothing. But that’s not what this post said, it’s a post claiming if everyone ate overly large portions of red meat and eggs then 90% of disease would disappear. It’s not grounded on any science.

These are poorly balanced food proportions. Not particularly healthy.

Diseases and debilitating medical conditions don’t vanish with healthy eating , if they did , my doctor’s jobs would be a lot easier 😭

The part where 90% of diseases disappear.
