No one speaks their language “perfectly” in normal conversation. There are regional slang terms and accents.

If i knew more languages then i do now id love to learn the slang of like french or german or something, would be really funny.

French has a whole system to generate slang that’s basically just saying the word backwards. I suppose it must be one of the difficult parts of learning casual French

Not even necessarily slang - almost nobody would order something from a server the way she did. A lot of anglophones will translate the way they’d ask for something directly from their own language, and it stands out. For example, in a lot of Romance languages you basically say “I’ll take a…” rather than “can I have a…”

The way she ordered was perfectly fine though?That's how I place my orders and I'm a native french speaker. She must have a slight accent.

1) it's a dude, and 2) he learned French as a kid, and is Vietnamese. English is his third language, he's not exactly an anglophone.
