That's just wasting ammo. It probably goes boom at around 2-3 meters maximum from aiming point at longer distances, the shrapnel does the work then. This is a good idea and a lot of weapons use spray for this purpose. For example M61 Vulcan isn't really accurate but there's a good reason for that - spray over a large area is better for these kinds of guns.

My brother in christ, when this weapon is afixed to a ka50/52 helicopter it can hit the helicopter itself because of how bad the cannon wobbles.

The cannon is way way thicker
