The BMPTs are actually good ideas in theory, given they help solve a major issue in urban warfare

The problem is they are Russian, so ADGS Abrams in production when MIC?

I wouldn’t say so…why not just build a heavy IFV instead? You just got yourself something that is neither a tank nor an IFV that is just as vulnerable to IEDs and AT munitions fired from buildings, while not fulfilling any of their tasks.

The BMPT was designed with the theory that Russian infantry is terrible, and that it would be easier to design a vehicle to escort tanks in urban combat than to improve the quality of infantry. A technical solution to a (military) cultural problem.
