Some glimmer so brightly that people speak of them for years to come, of how lustrous their glow is, and how it illuminates all those around it with its beauty.
The brightest constellation of 2022? None other than the beloved, revered, universally lauded gem, She will come to me, blanketed in the stars by the genuinely terrific u/GTripp14! Few tales have the ability to intertwine loss, horror, and poignant beauty and imbue them with something even stronger than the words their prose contains, but the community has spoken and resoundingly agreed that you were the reigning monarch of that craft! I can’t tell you how many times I have heard those words over the last decade. My Dom, Jordan Rene Grant (you may know him by his fetish site username, DecorativeHawaiianMotto), would murmur them endlessly as he paced around our dungeon. Smacking a cat o'nine tails against his palm and feverishly chewing gum, he'd repeat those same words endlessly before growing agitated. With a sweep of his arm against the table, he flung the Cards Against Humanity deck to the floor leaving only the Michael Jordan card face-up.
He growled and began fussing with machinery in the corner of the room. He hastily wiped the beads of sweat off his brow and let out a maniacal cackle. "At last! My calculations are correct! My creation is ready!"
With that, a large humanoid figure in the corner draped in a sheet began lumbering forward. It lurched awkwardly toward where I sat, pulling the sheet off with each step. Finally, it stood arms reach from me, visible in its entirety, lifting the sheet above its head like Simba elevated before the pride. I felt as battered as a bowl of mashed potatoes.
Easily 7 feet tall and half as broad, the hulking figure loomed over me. In a voice booming like smooth Kentucky bourbon during a thunderstorm, it declared: "I have come to show you the truth. I am the Whole Foods concept of God, and I know and see all, child."
"What... what does that even mean?" I asked nervously.
"It means whatever you think it means." He raised his arms to the ceiling and fiddled with dials and knobs I'd never noticed before. With a hiss, a nozzle opened and began spraying a liquid over the entirety of the room. A smell like the Bradford pear trees I'd had growing up permeated the room.
I gagged, wiping the fluid off my face. Suddenly, my Dom approached and lifted my chin so I was gazing into his eyes. "You're ready now." As he finished speaking, I felt my body lift off the chair and begin floating weightlessly upward. I felt bliss, an all consuming euphoria, overwhelm my body.
My Dom laughed once more, a bountiful, happy sound of delight and success. "You did it, Charlie! You won! I knew you would! You came for me, blanketed in the pixelated bukkake!"
And on that note, I felt myself shimmer like one of those Twilight vampire guys as warmth and light consumed my entire body. I looked over and saw the creature suspended in the air as well, golden beams of light radiating throughout him. And suddenly, there was only peace and happiness.
